Forgiveness

Alhamdulillah today Allah has given me an absolute beautiful reminder that I can't enumerate how beautiful it is.
The day of Arafah which is tonight and tomorrow; and the du'as that being made upon this day is so much listened by Allah.So I was really excited.
However when we look at what Rasulullah's du'a it was all forgiveness. And I was subhanaAllah.
I can't, like...
This perfect man whom has forgiven all of his sins, yet his du'a was only to ask forgiveness from Allah so much intensely on the day of Arafah.
I was thinking ya Allah... Rasulullah s.a.w. could ask a lot of things mashaAllah, yet he only ask forgiveness from Allah, abundantly.
Why is it?
SubhanaAllah.
Can u imagine such the best of mankind so humble in himself like all this duniya is not important anymore to him, Rasulullah s.a.w; only the forgiveness of Allah is matter to him.
SubhanaAllah. I was so enthrilled by this character.
Sometimes we want so much a lot from Allah, and really its really okay but how much is that wanting is for the pleasure of Allah?
Why not we make du'a and then for ultimate reasons is for the happiness of Allah instead of our happiness?

Like for example...
'Ya Allah being closer to You is much more beloved to my heart and myself so don't deprive me of tahajud and tears'
SubhanaAllah, why not we make Allah's happiness priority over our happiness, knowing that His pleased upon us, will cause us to be so happy?
